The Church: Defined. Thriving in Relational Discipleship

Jan 19, 2025    Darin Brown

This message explores the biblical account of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) and challenges believers to expand their "circle of love" beyond those who are similar to them. While last week’s focus was on our vertical relationship with God, today’s emphasis is on the horizontal—how we love and serve others. Jesus calls us to include the broken, the outcasts, and even those who have wronged us, mirroring His own mercy toward us. Too often, we justify limiting our love, but Christ commands us to "go and do likewise," making love a way of life, not just an occasional act. By following the Samaritan’s example, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who saw us in our brokenness and rescued us. The challenge is clear: as Christ has included us, we must extend His love to others.
